Dean. Long pine needles are pressed into the unglazed buff clay, leaving fine, sweeping impressions that wrap around the mug and even curl under the handle. A glossy white glaze lines the inside, wraps the ribbed rim and coats the handle, with a warm, toasted orange blush where the glaze meets the bare clay. The tall, rounded belly shape is cozy to hold for coffee, tea or cider, and the inside finishes in a little throwing spiral at the bottom.

We found it secondhand and gathered it for someone who'll love it. Only one is available. Once it's gone, it's gone.

Maker: Julia E.
