What We Value

Beeholden Farms is about more than beekeeping. The way we care for our bees comes from the way we live the rest of our lives.

Animals, Always

Our home is full of little paws. We didn't plan it that way; we just believe in showing up when something needs care. Misty has spent more than 26 years rescuing and fostering animals, and most of our pets came to us that way.

Rescue taught us what responsibility really looks like: consistency, patience, and meeting needs without expecting anything back. We think every animal deserves safety, dignity, and compassion, especially the overlooked ones. Our bees get that same care. We protect first, take only what's appropriate, and never treat a living thing as disposable.

Stewardship Over Scale

We choose care over speed, quality over quantity, and responsibility over convenience. That's why we stay small, hands-on, and intentional. We aren't chasing constant growth. We'd rather do right by the bees, the land, and the people who trust us.

Family at the Center

Beeholden Farms exists because we chose to build something meaningful side by side. It's work we can stand behind, share with the people we love, and feel proud of years from now.

Rooted in Our Community

Our bees forage in the same Fremont gardens and street trees our neighbors walk past every day. We plant for pollinators, deliver to our neighbors' porches, and help relocate swarms instead of destroying them. Being local isn't a slogan for us. It's where we live.

Why It Matters

These values shape every decision we make: how we manage our hives, when we harvest, what we make, and who we partner with. When something is done with care, you can feel it.
