We started making these balms as another way to use the beautiful wax our bees create after the honey harvest. The result is a smooth, rich balm that glides on and leaves a light protective layer to help seal in moisture, without feeling like you need to reapply every five minutes.

Why Beeswax?

Honey bees make wax to build the comb that becomes their pantry, nursery and home. After we harvest honey, we collect the thin wax cappings that sealed the honey-filled cells, then gently clean and render that wax to give it a second life. In lip balm, beeswax does more than give the balm its shape: it forms a light barrier that helps reduce moisture loss while still feeling comfortable on your lips.

How to Use

Paperboard push-up tubes (kraft or black): Gently push the bottom of the tube upward to expose a small amount of balm, then glide over lips. Push up only a little at a time, since paperboard tubes don't retract.

Clear twist-up tube: Twist the base to raise the balm, glide over lips, then twist it back down before capping.

Use throughout the day whenever your lips feel dry, or apply a slightly thicker layer before bed for extra overnight conditioning.

A Little Piece of the Hive

The honey goes into our jars. The cappings collected during harvest are cleaned and rendered. And some of that golden wax finds its way into these little tubes, so every balm holds a tiny piece of the same hives that produce our small-batch honey.
