Pricing
Commercial hive hosting is a paid service. The standard fee is $900 to $1,200 per hive, per year, and most businesses land right around $1,000 per hive. Multiple hives receive a multi-hive discount.
Final pricing depends on:
- Property size and layout
- Public access and foot traffic
- How often inspections are needed
- Special requests, like education, signage, tours, or branding
Why it's a paid service: commercial properties carry more liability, need more frequent inspections and upkeep, and call for careful placement in public-facing spaces. The fee covers professional apiary management and consistent on-site service.
About Honey Harvests
Honey production is seasonal and depends on weather, available forage, and hive health. We only harvest when it supports the wellbeing of the bees, and harvest amounts vary from year to year.
What We Ask of Business Hosts
- A suitable, secure location for the hives
- Scheduled access for inspections and maintenance
- A commitment to limiting pesticides and chemicals near the hives
- A heads-up about site changes or events
