Beeholden Farms places and cares for a honey bee hive right in your yard. Your flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees get natural pollination, your neighborhood gets a boost of pollinator support, and you get a share of the honey your hive produces. All for $150 a year.
You don't need any beekeeping experience. We handle every part of the hive's care: inspections, maintenance, and seasonal management. You simply enjoy the bees.
Available to hosts within 20 miles of Fremont, CA. Outside that area? Ask anyway and we'll see what we can do.
What's Included

What We Ask of Hosts
Healthy bees need a good home. As a host, you'll provide:

- Reasonable access for scheduled inspections and seasonal care
- A commitment to limiting pesticides and chemicals near the hive
- A calm, stable area where the hive can stay undisturbed
About the Honey
Honey is a gift from the bees, not a guarantee. How much a hive produces depends on weather, available flowers, and the colony's overall health. We only harvest when the bees can spare it, so your share may vary from season to season, and some seasons there may be none.

How It Works
Every property gets a site review before a hive is placed, to make sure it's safe and suitable for the bees and for you. Send us a message with your city and a little about your yard, and we'll set up a time to take a look. Once we've both agreed it's a good fit, we'll send you everything you need to get started.
