Grilled peaches over vanilla ice cream with a jar of raw honey and a honey dipper

No-Stove Honey Peach Sundaes for Hot Days

Jump to Recipe ↓

Nobody wanted to be inside cooking during the heat wave, so dessert at our barbecue was simple: scoops of vanilla ice cream with sliced peaches and a generous drizzle of raw honey. It took five minutes to put together and it disappeared even faster.

Peach sundae bar with vanilla ice cream, sliced peaches, toppings, and a jar of raw honey
What you'll need

  • Vanilla ice cream (dairy-free works great too)
  • 3–4 ripe peaches, sliced
  • Raw honey for drizzling (we use our Beeholden Farms raw honey)
  • A pinch of flaky sea salt
  • Optional toppings: crushed graham crackers, chopped pistachios, or fresh mint

How to make it

  1. Slice the peaches and set them out with the toppings, sundae-bar style.
  2. Scoop the ice cream into bowls. A good ice cream scoop helps when it's straight from the freezer.
  3. Top each bowl with peaches, then drizzle with honey. A wooden honey dipper gives you that pretty, slow drizzle.
  4. Finish with a tiny pinch of flaky salt, which makes the honey taste even richer.

Want it fancier?

If the grill's already hot, halve the peaches and grill them cut-side down for 3–4 minutes until they have grill marks. A grill basket keeps the slices from slipping through the grates. The warm peaches with cold ice cream and honey are hard to beat.

Served with a glass of our Blueberry Lemon Honey Iced Tea →, it's the easiest summer menu you'll ever make, even in October.
