This wheel-thrown stoneware soup crock was handmade by CoastalClayCo, a small pottery studio in West Palm Beach, Florida. It has a soft aqua glaze that fades into creamy white over ribbed sides, with two sculpted handles and a raw clay foot. The inside is glazed in a smooth, glossy cream with an aqua rim.

It's sized for a single generous serving, which makes it perfect for French onion soup topped with melted cheese, chili, stew, or baking a small round loaf of bread. We found it secondhand and gathered it for someone who'll love it. It's one of a kind, so once it's gone, it's gone.
