Give your favorite wooden kitchen pieces a little extra care. 🐝
Our Cutting Board Conditioner is a simple, small-batch blend of just two ingredients: food-grade mineral oil and beeswax from our own hives in Fremont, California. It nourishes dry wood, helps protect it from everyday use, and brings out the natural beauty of the grain.
We love products that are useful, uncomplicated, and made to last, and this is exactly that. Whether you have a well-loved board that needs some attention or a beautiful new one you want to keep looking its best, a little goes a long way.
The mineral oil soaks in and moisturizes the wood, while the beeswax leaves a light protective barrier and a smooth, silky finish.
Choose Your Label Color
Pick the tin label that best suits your kitchen or the person you're gifting it to: Cream, Sage, Blush Pink, or Peach. Or choose Surprise Me and we'll pick one for you.
Only the label color changes. The conditioner inside every tin is exactly the same: our natural pale-gold beeswax blend, with no dyes or added color.
Perfect For
Cutting boards, butcher blocks, charcuterie and serving boards, wooden spoons and utensils, salad bowls, and other unfinished or oil-finished wooden kitchen pieces.
It also makes a thoughtful housewarming, hostess, holiday, wedding, or home-cook gift, especially tucked alongside a beautiful wooden board.
Ingredients
Food-Grade Mineral Oil, Beeswax (from our hives)
That's it. Nothing else.

How to Use
- Start with clean, completely dry wood.
- Scoop a small amount onto a clean, lint-free cloth and work it into the wood, following the direction of the grain.
- Let it absorb for at least 20 minutes, then buff away any excess with a clean cloth.
For especially dry or neglected wood, apply a generous coat and let it soak in for several hours or overnight before buffing. Repeat until the wood looks rich and feels smooth.
Reapply whenever your board starts to look pale or feel dry. For boards in daily use, that's usually about once a month.
Tip: Hand wash wooden boards and utensils, dry them right away, and never put them in the dishwasher or leave them soaking.
Size
Net Wt. 4 oz (113 g) in a reusable screw-top tin. One tin can condition several boards, depending on their size and how thirsty the wood is.
A Few Notes
- For unfinished or oil-finished wood only. Not intended for painted, lacquered, polyurethane-coated, or otherwise sealed surfaces.
- Always follow the care instructions from the maker of your wooden item. Grain, age, and dryness all affect how much conditioner the wood absorbs.
- Store in a cool place. Beeswax softens in heat, so the conditioner may arrive soft in warm weather. It works just the same and firms back up once cool.
- For conditioning wooden kitchenware. Not for consumption.
