A simple little bar with a surprising number of uses. 🐝

This beeswax comes straight from our own hives in Fremont, California. After the honey harvest, we clean and filter the wax and pour it into these handy little bars, so nothing the bees made goes to waste. (Curious how that works? Read From Hive to Home: How We Use Beeswax After the Honey Harvest.)

Our natural beeswax bars are a handy addition to your kitchen, workshop, sewing basket, or household toolbox. Each bar weighs approximately 1.1 oz (31 g) and is molded into an easy-to-hold shape for rubbing directly onto wood, thread, hardware, and other surfaces.

Made from beeswax and nothing else, this versatile bar can be used as-is or melted into your favorite DIY beeswax projects.

Ways to Use Your Beeswax Bar

🐝 Sticky wooden drawers — rub along wooden drawer runners and tracks to help drawers glide more smoothly.
🐝 Cutting boards & wooden utensils — use as part of your wood-care routine to help protect and condition natural wood. (See our guide: How to Care for a Wooden Cutting Board Naturally.)
🐝 Furniture & unfinished wood — apply a light coat and buff for a soft protective finish.
🐝 Screws & nails — rub a little beeswax onto threads before driving them into wood to help reduce friction.
🐝 Wooden tool handles — helps condition and protect dry wood.
🐝 Sewing & crafts — run thread across the wax to help reduce tangling and fraying.
🐝 Leatherworking & bookbinding — useful for waxing thread before stitching.
🐝 DIY projects — melt for homemade wood polish, beeswax wraps, candles, wax melts, conditioners, and other crafts.

How to Use

For direct application, simply rub a small amount of beeswax onto the desired surface. Buff with a clean, soft cloth when appropriate.

For DIY recipes, the bar can be grated, chopped, or gently melted before combining with other ingredients.

A little beeswax goes a long way.

Because beeswax is a natural product, color, aroma, texture, and weight may vary slightly from bar to bar. These variations are part of what makes each bar unique.

Care

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Beeswax may soften in warm temperatures.

For finished wood, fabric, or leather, test on a small inconspicuous area first, as beeswax may slightly deepen or alter the appearance of some materials.
